Sorting
The sort and tag controls sit in one row above the tiles:

Tags
A tag is a label a design can carry, and a design can carry several.
Tags cut across folders, which is exactly what folders cannot do. A design lives in one folder, but it can be tagged oak, customer job and needs finishing at once — and you can ask for any of those.
Which to reach for
Folders for things that belong together permanently — a customer, a product line, a year.
Tags for things that cut across, or that change: a material, a state, a machine.
Sorting for finding something you touched recently, which is most of the time.
